CHRISTMAS DAY!

My family is not your average traditional Christmas celebrating Christians.

We usually try to find whatever fun is actually open and go there.

Christmas usually means catching an afternoon movie with the family.

It was the best Monday I have had in a long time!

I hope you all are enjoying time with your friends and family no matter whether you celebrate Christmas or not!

Howdy Y'all!  Even though I am a natural born Canadian, I really can't complain about December in Texas.

You know what they say is true, the sun does always shine a little brighter in Texas.

Making the holidays everything you could hope for...

And I can actually go outside without bundling up.

A light jacket will do it most days.

If I even need a jacket at all

Well, even if it is more of a style statement than a necessity.

HI Guys!

I have never been so excited for a Monday!  Honestly, after being out sick all last week, I was jumping for joy today.

So, just curious, do you still send Christmas cards in the mail?

Well, confession...my family doesn't.

but if it were up to me we would!

I still really love receiving them and have been checking the mailbox daily.

So if you do send Christmas cards, I salute you!

That is what my mom says is "too much work"

Well this was fun!

Happy Saturday!  It is only nine days until Christmas!  I am so excited!

I am looking forward to having a couple of weeks off of the Kindergarten grind to hang out with my peeps.

What is that you say?   You mean to tell me you are already on your Christmas break?!  Well moving on... I am heading out for some shopping and cocoa.

Anytime my mom even mentions the naughty list, I just have to laugh!

You know I've been an angel all year.

So I've made my list, 

and double buffalo checked it!

Yep, it is going to be a holly jolly Christmas, I just know it.

Well this was incredibly casual, but still fun.

FRILLS AND ICE CREAM CHILLS // GENUINE KIDS

So, as I  mentioned, I have been a bit under the weather lately.

My throat has really been sore and I am having a hard time swallowing,

But I pulled myself together enough to go out and get some soothing natural medicine.

Which really did seem to put a little pep back in my step.

And a little fresh air never hurts either!

I can't stay in bed watching Ever After High forever!  After all, this is the most wonderful time of year for window shopping.

And I love all the decorations!

They really brighten my day.

So let's talk fashion for a minute...

Oh LOOK!  I am almost as big as a Christmas ornament this year!

Sorry, I'm easily distracted.  I was perusing the toddler section at Target the other day when this dress was literally screaming my name.  I am in love the Gatsby vibes and the little details, and the capelet is so beautiful.  I feel like a snow princess in it, minus the snow.  

Well, this was pretty fun!
